C'mon you'd be doing the exact same thing
RCMP / Police are great if your are not an asshole towards them:)
Also what you don't see is the CBs each car has ( see the little antennae sticking up in each car )
We can talk with each other and with the sweeper vehicle up ahead.
We also all have fairly extensive race track experience and training in how to drive at high speed. I am not simply saying we have seen Fast and the Furious 1,2,3 and cannonball run before leaving. We actually have high speed driving instruction.
The difference between our drive and most other car "clubs" is safety first and foremost. This included vehicle safety, personal safety and other motorist safety.
I am a doctor...I know the effects of high speed impacts. I would not be putting my life or my importantly, the life of my wife in the jeopordy if I didn;t have the utmost confidence in it.

hold the horn down all the time and that will scare them away.
The exhaust sound on these cars is enough to make anything run. Driving to Calgary, it is cool to see cows on the farms along the highway scatter when 2 or 3 of us blow by

And the only lambo door kit I've seen for Murcelagos costs about 22 grand Canadian, so it's not like he went to decah.net and had them ship him out some hinges. |

I've always thought that a Lambo is better looking, faster (except Enzo) and more sex appeal than a Ferrari. As far as I'm concerned your waking up and seeing the light:thumbup: . Nice pics btw.

I drove the yellow murci that are in some of the pics ( not the pimped out roadster ) What a car!!!
Big, powerful and looks amazing.
Electrical glitches scare me though. Thats why I prefer the testarossa.
but my wife wants a Lambo...and I would really love to have fun with a murci
BTW gallardos are really fast also |

If I was in your position and was looking for something new I'd probably be seriously considering the F430.
If I was to go with something a little older, but a little updated from the Testarossa, the F355 Berlinetta would probably be the car for me. |
|
|
| Insomniac |
| If you look at used prices, Gallardo's are WAY cheaper than F430's. Then again, you will probably loose more money on the Lambo in the long run, because of the depriciation. |
|
|
| myhorse |
the 355 is too slow
I ate them all up on this trip even with my bald tires. DOn't get me wrong they are fun and fast - until another passenger goes in them. I'd stay with my TR
The Gallardos are actually MSRP wise more than the 430s
However 430s are fewer and farer between, therefore you gotta pay the premium for them.
They old lambos ( diablos countaches ) are the ultimate in cool looking cars, but they are shaky mechanically.
The Audi Lambos ( Murci and Gallardo ) have made significant leaps and bounds forwards and are great in all aspects. Can be driven daily like a honda accord
I am a Ferrari Fan. My Wife is a Lambo girl
After driving that Murci though, I am really thinking of broadening my horizons.
They problem is I'll hear nothing but " I told you so" for the rest of my life, from her

Interesting. I didn't realize a Testarossa was faster. Anyway my main draw to the 355 has always been the styling. Still one of my favorite Ferrari designs from the '90s.

But the 430 is still arguably the all-around BETTER car, is it not?

won't argue on that one...My wife's comment would be " bu the Ferrari does not have AWD" |

I desperately want a 3-car garage, but I'm not sure its within our reach, even with us both being professional D.I.N.K.S. Hard to say the way the Edmonton housing market is going these days. |

I always figured it was the other way around.
Ferrari's are a real man's car. Built to be driven, raced, admired. It has hertiage behind it.
Lambos... don't. :dunno: Maybe I just don't like Lambos. Hell, my NSX has more racing heritage than any Lambo ever built.
Ferrari FTW, in my books! |

2nd!!
And Myhorse, buy the car YOU want. :p
Heck, if my wife tried to convince me I should trade my Z32 in for an FD or a MKIV... that wouldn't go over well. She'd basically be SOL.
But I guess when you're talking about buying cars that cost as much as most peoples' houses, the spouse gets a little more input in the purchase decision. (d'oh!) |
|

| Insomniac |
I look at Murci's as boulevard cruisers, poseur cars. Gallardo's are cool but will always have the weaker young brother stigma.
Ferrari's are real racing machines, where function is most important.
That's my opinion anyway, and I'm not saying that one is better than the other. I'd love to have an F430 for driving fast, and a Murci for driving REAL slow
 |

Ferruccio Lamborghini himself was a Ferrari owner. Until the clutch busted and Enzo refused to see him, so he popped one in himself from one of his tractors. Then he started to make cars.
I'm not saying that Enzo's dick for not dealing with Lamborghini's broken Ferrari, hell if that never happened we wouldn't have the Diablo (and damn thats a sexy car!!) |

| ironically, the clutch is Lambos weakness |
