You guys are so worried that cops this and cops that.
You guys worry so much about the cops reading this and finding you and your car and blah blah blah. For all you guys know I may be a guy that drives a Tempo wanting to buy a HAwk some day. Like that little video of people in the chat room. I don't understand why you guys flame peole for street racing if it's done and money is put on it who cares.
I don't condone during rush hour or around residential streets, I have no problem later on in the day on long streets. With no spectators other than me and the person I'm racing. I do not race around crowds and I do not race with people in my car unless they know the speeds that are gonna be hit ahead of time.
Just tired of guys like SLOWASSPORCHE cryin abou tstreet racing in my 4 sale thread :angry: |

thirdly i don't give a fuck what you do loser but when what you do has the possibility to harm someone I care about.. that's when i have beef. If you absofuckinglutely must race.. do it outta the city or something or in an industrial area

No, it about our Image, it's about our Relationship, it's about a fighting for respect in an already biased culture/hobby.
Don't get me wrong, I welcome you to V8less, but we have aggressively taken a firm stance against all forms and visions of street racing, some more aggressively than others (bless your little heart Matt :))
But please understand, it's extremely difficult to maintain an already tarnished image, not that we've done anythign wrong, but because this culture comes stereotyped against already, it is difficult to maintain respect.
It has already been established that the local law enforcement frequent these forums and monitor them, whether we like it or not, they are here to stay, and I welcome them.
I hope you begin to understand what we're trying to do and why we are so firm or our stance. |

Like I said guys I like your stance and will never knock any of you guys for doing it it's just not for me. I like chatting with you guys and have no problems with anyone.
My only problem was when somebody starts assuming that "midnight racing is the only version of street racing" and that all street racers race with a crowd of peole watching.
I guess I just don't like it when SlowAzz assumes.
Like I said I have no problems with cops they're doin their jobs if I get caught I got nobody to blame but myself, why you ask, cause I don't race in crowds and when I do race it's me and one other car. |

I think everyone can drop this internet posturing bullshit.
Andy has quite diplomatically explained the general consensus to street racing and it's safe to say that not everyone will agree with it.
Funny how all internet boards are essentially the same. People always trying to throw in their $0.02 into a conflict where it's not needed which eventually leads to the unecessary escaltion of said conflict.
No one needs to egg these 2 on. Let them have it out on their own. |

Street racing anywhere populated sucks. But I think (although I wasn`t there) that something like last years airport racing that got busted was an example of "good" street racing. the way it sounds is there was no one around but the people who knew what they were doing there (unlike racing in an industrial area when an old bum could stumble onto the street and not know) How was that incident alot different than the track? It could barely be considered street racing it seems. And I don`t think it`s a terrible crime to rip up to 60km/hour off a light in an open area. Organized racing in the city= BAD, First two gears off a light= OK, Airport last year= BETTER, Track= BEST. Internet fighting= :thumbsdown:
Just my opinions and as I said, Iwasn`t at the airport races last year, so i don`t know exactly how safe it was. |
