Acid Dip in Edmonton - Click HERE for Original Thread

McFly
Anyone know where a person can get a shell acid dipped in edmonton?

chris f
RMC. look in here www.yellowpages.ca under sand blasting

McFly
another option was sandblasting.

how much would it cost to sandblast a shell?

chris f
RMC does acid dips

ehos
Expensive! :)

But the only way to do a proper restoration. That sandblasting is for the birds. You'll be getting dirt out of your car for a long time afterwards, and it ALWAYS appears once the paint is laid.

GRRR. Never again :)

What to do then Ehos? I was goin to get the cab of my truck blasted, you're saying I should get it dipped?

Clean it really really well! Compressed air, vacuums etc.

I used a diluted metal etcher and basically washed it all over. (But I still had bits of sand coming out of the woodwork!).

I would try soda blasting it instead, it doesn't seem to 'hide' as well as regular sand does.

They have a dip tank and they do sand/media blasting and do great work. Not sure on the rates....
