Yes you can buy a new screen.
The last screen I had to install was $650 from HP, and it was for a 6 month old laptop. |

For the HP I ordered I just got it ordered through HP Replacement Parts - all the major manufacturers will have them in stock.
Keep in mind, the older the part the more expensive it is (Supply / Demand) |

If its HP send it in for there Flat Rate Repair.. Set ammount.. they will replace all faulty hardware.. i dunno if that apply's to Phy Dmg though..
