Unplug the cam sensor and try again.
With it unplugged it will crank for an extra 5 - 8 seconds and start.
Do the haynes manual checks for crank sensor as well.
If you have fuel and spark and you are 100% the timing is on and all "swap" wiring is done correctly it should turn out to be a sensor issue. |

unplugged it and it wont start... i only got a loud back fire then i shut it off...:confused:
crank sensor is good, i have rpm and the voltage is right....
i'm picking up a new map sensor tonight and i'll redo the timeing from scratch.... probably a few times...
going to turn the cam magnet to see whats going on....
i think it runs to crappy to be a sensor....
it just screams cam timeing :mad: :mad: :mad:
i need a BFH to fix this thing good!!!

if i could get it to idle on it's own then i would...:dunno:

LOL i forgot that neons don't have a degreed crank pulley!!:lol:
but i lined up my cams one tooth forward on the intake (they don't even line up anymore:dunno: ) and she runs perfect!!!
my punishment for large cams :rolleyes:
