well everyone, ive talked about it for an extremely long time, and had many side decisions and rocked back and forth, but as of tomorrow at 3:00 (if all goes well:fingersx: ) i will be putting a deposit down on a
1994 TT Targa 6spd Supra
Hks Titanium Exhaust (3")
Hks Intake
Hks turbos
18" SSR GT3 wheels
17000 original miles
Red w/black int
Carfax was done - 100% clean as well as dyno sheets and appraisal sheets.
Dyno - 413 ft-lbs and 420 hp at wheels (sorry dont know rpms)
and delivery will be friday july 28th...
sooooo im kind of excited and have too many plans to mention with not enough money to pursue any of them. :p
On a side note: Due to the new purchase of this car i will be needing some other money as well as storage space, forcing me to sell my 300zx, i think i have a buyer, but i will still take offers into consideration.
I am kind of excited, it has everything from the original window sticker to the original bill of sale in florida as well as every piece of documentation involving the service and maintainance of the car. It is freaking MINT!!!! and is currently located in victoria BC, and i will be flying out to pick it up in 2 weeks:thumbup: |

they came with 6 speed from the beginning in '93, it was in I think 1995 that they were only available as auto because of environmental laws or something.. they were available again after that though for the last couple years of production. |

It is utterly perfect, everything i want in a supra otherwise i wouldnt have made the purchase..has the targa, has the "bullet-proof" 6spd tranny, and it has the turbos and in mint condition :bowdown: :bowdown:

haha, well i still love the 300 and its going to be hard to part with it, which is why im selling it to a close friend.
but it just wasnt fast enough to keep up to everybody, dont get me wrong it was pretty quick, but i just wanted a turbo, and ive already had the Z for 4 years, time for the car that ive always wanted:D |

There is no such thing as "bullet proof". You will learn this first hand once you start modding any car to twice the hp.

Twice the hp on a MKIV is only about 550 at the wheels. That's still easily within the capabilities of the 2jz and the getrag. The record for the stock bottom end and getrag 6spd is about 980rwhp. Bulletproof doesn't get much better than that. I undestand what you're saying, but it sounds a little patronizing is all.

Sure there are records for stock parts on many "freak" cars. I don't think that any car at 980rwhp will last very long if constantly driven at that power level. I'm just being reasonable with my comments. Just look at the new C6 Z06 vettes. On the rx7 forum there is a thread where alot of the guys are returning their cars and trading them off because they keep blowing trannies and rear ends on them. And thats a car that is 505hp stock. Everything has limitations to it otherwise car companies wouldn't be making money.

You're abit wrong & abit right. 980hp might be the record for stock bottem end, but for the tranny there lots of guys that are in the 1000hp - 1400hp on the stock tranny.

The tranny from the Vettes is not the same as the Supra. Also even the Vipers trannies are not as strong as the Supra.
Most of the big hp Viper & Vettes have to modified there trannies to deal with the high HP levels.
However, nothing lasted forever. |

I know that the Getrag has been used on much higher horsepower cars, but I was only referring to the record that involved both at stock levels. I'm very familiar with Ryan's car and records. He's got quite the car, that's for sure. I like Marko's supra better though, but he doesn't use the Getrag. But a 1300rwhp daily driver? Yes please!

well and that was another hesitation that i had with purchasing a supra, i looked at the Z market that became flooded with jdm 300s and drove the price down on the LHD USDM 300s, but now, after a few years, the price is back up, because the USDM 300 is still preferred (in the sales records of JDM tt's vs USDM tt's after a year since first imported 300)
and due to the fact that the USDM supra is a better car than the JDM i dont see the price changing too drastically aswell, your comment stating that you hope the jdms will drive down the price shows that you would still sooner own a USDM one
either way just to let everyone know
the decision is final and the deposit has gone through today as of 5:00pm and there is currently a sold sign on the car :thumbup: :thumbup: |

You make a very good point. If I had not have bought my House this year, I too would mostly would have a Supra.
