Well it seem like old news to all or to few,,, but i just crawled out from under the rock and while i was unpacking i i found my old school nintedo power magazines...yeah geek alert...any case i was flipping through them.. and seeing what tehy were offering in gaming and i remeber seeing this aold ninetedo 3d game glasses everything was in red but it was 3D...
well forward to now and i after my recent visit to best buy and learning my high tech DVD player is soon to be antique in regards with blue ray and HD DVD, and learned a little about the $1000 ps3 and its motion sensor remote control and nintendo Wii which is also runs motion sensors and acceloremeters.. wow gaming is coming to whole new level where befor u ccould stuff ur self in small corner of the room and live in fantasy world now u need the whol room so u can move ur arms and actaully play .. it will be more of exercise no more shoulder spasm or thumb/ hand fatigue. u have to actully move full motion to do anything .. u have to actaully turn a inivisble steering wheel, shodow box or pretend to swing bat .. scribble use ur hands as sheild and sword..etc
wow.. look where technollgy is going .. with this much realism in to games and units coming out in 1000 price ranges.. and the funny thing is people will fight to spend taht and willover spend that on ebay and other sites where someon is horading the systems
holy crap i wrote a lot
summary: new gaming systems run on motion sensor/sensitive controllers
what do think will come in the near future with all this new type of technology in other areas.. |

I say were gonna end up jacked into one big "Machine" called the "Matrix" and live our lives in a caccoon. Then one day the chosen one , "Neo "will try to rise up from the machines with a band of free thinking radicals and save us all! Im psycho , I seen this in my visions and thus it will be so! Also before we all get "Assimulated" by the great big machine , the machine will create "killer cyborge robots" to beat down whats left of our society after it Nukes the planet. These Killer robot cyborges will be called "Terminators" and will all look like uncle "Arnold' and say "ILL be BACK!" alot........
After the "Cyborges" kill enough of us they will begin sticking the ones left in caccoons and plug us in the Matrix and we will be out of the way till that pesky NEO comes along......
I seen these visions and thus it will be so!

| Haha, the getting exercise while playing wouldn't be a bad thing. I've contemplated buying DDR for at home so I can get a bit of cardio while playing a game. |

That wasn't just something you plugged into a system, that was an ENTIRE system in itself.
Nintendo Virtual Boy
we have one at the shop... i tried it once.
After i found the 9!! AA batteries to power it, i put WarioLand in it and had a look inside.
You can't strap it to your head or anything so you HAVE to have it sitting on a table.
I took one gander, and INSTANT headache. Wario ran side to side like any other mario game, but the background looked to be deeper, and you could jump into the background on certain pads.
Virtual Tennis was cool, it acctually looked like it had depth, that is, it would for anyone that had depth perception (which i do not, because of an eye operation as a child) so to me it was just as ridiculously hard to play as REAL tennis.
So i gave up, and turned it off.... then continued to see everything with a red tinge for the rest of the day :(
As for where gaming is going for the next generation... it's gonna involve movement... and lots of it.
Which i don't like. But it will certainly help the population of obese down south.
Take the Wii, for example... all the promo shit has people jumping and swining around the controller to do the simplest of things...
I dunno, i play video games to ESCAPE physical acctivity :) |

Sony already released thier prices for North America, he is way off. Does anyboy who works a BB or FS have a fucking clue about anything they sell?
This gen coming up should be very interesting some great games coming out later this year and in 07. I have a 360 adn plan on buying a PS3 when I can find one on the shelf. I would buy a Wii but I don't like games made for kids or 25y/o's who play pokemon.
The 360 really needs some new games. Its still early in its cycle but its been awhile since a good game came out thats not a PS2/XBOX port. |

pay more attention, thats $600 US!
granted thats not MUCH more given the exchange rate... but they don't sell at the EXACT exchange rate.
I'm not saying it's not a fair price, either, i'm just saying it a LOT OF MONEY! :P
and don't quote the gimped one price, please, no-one that wants a PS3 on realease should want one of those, lol
It's just like 360 core systems.
I don't like the tiered system sales btw. |

No profit at all on new consoles, I never knew that. What about a few years into its life? What about the games what kind of mark up do stores put on those? I guess games would be how the store makes money. |
