Totaly depends on your car... But either:
A 1/2 socket wrench
Proper wrenchs
or larger allen wrenchs.

Usually a filler plug and a drain plug. Make sure you can remove the filler plug before you remove the drain plug or else you'll be dry and stuck.

I noticed you have an MR2, there is a good write up here:

They are for the MKII, but I'd imagine that if you have an MKI it wouldn't be too much different, byt do a search on mr2oc to make sure.
