Gonna get my first rx7! - Click HERE for Original Thread

I found a 10 ae out in toronto. I made the final deal on it and now I've got the task to bring it back here. The guy had it garaged and the owner before him did too for the winters so there isn't any harmful rust. Just the stuff you get from driving in the rain. Chances are i'm going to fly out there and drive it back. I might have it in time for the meet on friday.

Does anyone have an rx7 bra just kickin around, just wanna cut down on the rock chips on the way back:thumbup:

now
forget the bra they scratch the paint worst than a few rock chips

Use blue masking tape. Seriously, it might look ugly for the trip, but it comes off nice, protects well and it's cheap.

Transporter
i used tape when i made trip with new bumper and over time i just gave up on it

The guy sold the car under my nose for more money to a local guy in toronto. I can't blame him I'd do the same thing but it pisses the hell outta me and now I'm still stuck with my mx6:(

I've checked that one out but 9k is a little outta my price range. I'd like to get a TII but I don't have enough for what everyone's asking.

I've checked out a few and the sellers have just been blowing smoke up my ass trying to sell their cars. I've been reading about rotarys and learning about them for a while now but my only concern is the reliability of the engine. I don't wanna drop a new engine in one right after I get it. I know the engines will last as long as anything else on the road, but it's a matter of who's taking care of it. The wankel's pretty tempermental when it come's to overheating and if it's been sitting for a while the apex seals can dry out and you can kiss your engine goodbye if they blow. I'd rather start out fresh with a new engine and take care of it myself rather than picking up someone elses problems. All I know is I want one but I'm being very careful about the one I'll pick up. I've already checked out a couple TII lemons with blown apex seals. I just want one that works for under 5k..

I found a gx with a rebuilt engine that was running great but the body was hacked up with 220 on the clock. The price was right but I'm picky and want an lsd.
