That ultra turbo timer is also a speed meter as well , friend has one and it is pimp! , very nice car aside from it being red.

mx73someday
So many of the early FD's were red or repainted from red. It's good to see some variety from the 89-90 sports cars that were mostly black.

TyPhOOnSliPPerY
it looks in great shape ans new paint is always good to hear, especially for the price

Is there anyway of getting the boost pattern and compression test of the motor before it's bought?

1sicsol
Does import concern own this car?

Braden
If there was something wrong with the engine it would be posted. If you get the car amd something that is not stated it wrong with it, it can be claimed from who it was bought through by Import Concern Inc.

Import Concern does own this RX-7.

Regards,

Braden

mx73someday
Yes we do own it. It might be possible to have a compression test performed, but it would be at your expense.

Are the any more rx7 that you can get looking. To get one soon would like to have more that one option.

mx73someday
Yes, we will be sourcing many more over the next few months.

so how much would i have to put down 2 hold it an how long do i get before id have to pay for shippin?

mx73someday
$5,000 down is required. You pay the $3,500 remainder and the shipping to you after it arrives in Canada.

There are 3 more January eligible RX-7's coming to Japan Stock within a couple days here between $9000-10000.

Could i pay for the remander once i gets in in Calgary or would I have to pay when it lands in Canada??

mx73someday
When it arrives in Calgary is fine, we used to say when it arrives in Vancouver, but it's no sweat anymore.

I was planning on importing one for the spring. I'm hopping to pick something up for april. But my main concern is that for the cars that have had front end collisions and had the repairs done, how will they stack up against the oop? Is that something they can fail the car on if it's not done properly? Just curious as I've noticed a few have been in a front end collision.

mx73someday
A car could fail inspection if it wasn't repaired properly, but out of all the repaired cars we've imported not a single one failed for that reason (unless one of our customers didn't bother to tell us). Improper repairs would show up in the auction sheet comments.

czechtino
So what would you say you have to fix most often on the cars to get them safetied, anything that mechanicas are really picky on ??

mx73someday
Tie rod ends are the most common replacement part, but that's because the majority of the cars we've imported were Nissan's with HICAS, the rear tie rod ends have a tendency to wear within months after installation. Daytime running lights are required on nearly every single vehicle these days too.

do the 92/1 FD from Japan all have the same engine?
how many difference trim level is there and what are the difference? is this the reason for the difference in price we see from the FD you have for sale?

are there any with the tan leather like the 93 US FD?

how many month is conatiner shipping?

to pass OOP for day time driving lights, could you just wire you head lights for that so it's always on?

this one says B interior, i can't tell what the difference is in this car as compared to the other 3. For you guys who have actually seen the car, can you tell me if a B interior is visably better than a C?

mx73someday
They all have the same engines, the different trims are for different levels of optional equipment:

http://www.importconcern.ca/carindex/1991/rx7_fd.htm

The reason for the price difference is mostly due to the nature of auctions, sometimes similar cars cost differently.

I haven't seen tan leather, but I have seen red leather equipped RX-7's.

Container shipping takes between 1-2 months from purchase as long as there are another set of 3 vehicles to ship it with.

In regards to your OOP question, you should ask your OOP shop/mechanic. I would guess that technically you could wire it straight to the ignition source, but it's speculative.

The grading systems are not reliable, you should check the comments and decide based on those. Each vehicle was auctioned at a different auction company, likely by different inspectors, so its hard to get a good idea how they were trying to grade the interior. Sometimes if an interior is simply dirty, it could get a lower grade, however a dirty interior is not a permanent circumstance.

For a day time running light on pop up head light cars you can invest in some aftermarket fogs lights. The lights just has to come on when the car strart and or running with no switchs easy as pie.

Thats all folks

morningla
fog as DRL is a good idea :)

thanks for the clarification.

StraightSix
yup, that's what I did. MR2 had factory fogs already
