| Ok so get this. I have to pick up my car in Calgary no big deal. So I go to the registries and ask for an in transit permit, but they say no because I need insurance. No big deal I head over and get some. So I got the insurance company and try to get some insurance he says no because it needs an opp, but I can’t get one cuz I need an in transit permit to move the car. So how in the hell do I get insurance, an opp, or an in transit when it’s a giant cluster fuck! Any who if you could help out on this one it would be appreciated. |

OPP - Out of Province Inspection?
If so, then have your car towed to the nearest certified shop and have them inspect it. Once it passes, have them fax you the information that you need and then get insurance... Then get it registered. Done.
The Microsoft Tada sound comes to mind right about.... Now.
LOL. Hope that helps. |

opp? Is that like an inspection or something? Get it towed to a place where you can get an inspection.
BTW, did you get your car fixed and what was wrong with it?
The OPP aka "The out of province inspection" is required by law before insurance is given and before the car can be driven. It's a safety inspection that pretty much tells them if the car is safe for the roads... I had my car shipped from BC to my house and with the bill of sale I was able to get the in transit sticker to go about and get the opp done and once passed then you are allowed to get insurance for the car. What I did was go to the insurance company with my bill of sale and then they gave me temparary insurance and then I got the in-transit and so on.:dunno: |
