| I don't know if anyone else has noticed lately but there have been more non photo radar traps set up this month. The last three days I have gone by these traps, tonight on 127th st at about 148 ave and the last two days on Fort Road by the yellowhead. Are the cops cracking down because of the recent accidents or what? I've never seen so much radar, let me know of any other places their hiding. |

Hi accord90,
Here is a link as to where they may or may not be during a particular week.

| ive actually noticed considerably less radar sites recently with my daily 100km commutes. i have noticed that they use ALOT more laser now, like 10x more then before. maybe its the route that im taking? ive noticed alot more on calgary trail north/south in the morning like 5:30am and when i get off at like 4:00pm |

| Laser is a lot harder to detect on radar dectectors due to it's focused beam. Less warning, more tickets. |

Which one do you recommend? :D |

Binder M20 or Blinder M40. M20 is Front or Rear while the M40 covers both.
You might think rear is useless but in laser traps when they like to sit on bridges etc it often comes into play. |

  Did you get it locally? where did you get it installed? |

Installed myself. Pretty simple if you follow the instructions as to mounting positions.
Bought them from the states. Never could find them in Canada. |

I give you credit for wasting your money but Canadian Laser units such as the Ultralight 20/20 is the Only unit authhorized by the courts (as I know of to date). the Ultralight 20/20 operates on a different frequency of the light spectrum than the US Units.thus any Jammer made in the states calibrated for US Laser is usless.
One word of Caution as radar or Laser Jamming is highly illegal and your car will Definalty get impounded and the Jammer will be uninstalled and seized. at your cost.
Cheers |

Maybe a little research is in order before you shoot of your trap. Cause 99.9% of what you said is incorrect.
I know mine work. I know there LEGAL. So i got no intention of explaining anything to you. I do recommend you hit up google a little longer though in future.
EDIT: Ohh any wasting money? You have underglow neon. Enough said. |

yes. radar is always "on" when in a police vehicle...but laser has a trigger, so officer aims, fires, and by the time he reads your speed, it's too late...you would be ok, if he sniped a car in front of you, and waves from the diffracted beam were intercepted by your detector though...that is commonly what happens for people who evade the laser. |

not entirely true...jamming laser is ok, since it's an IR spectrum beam, and that's not regulated a wave length, only the radiowave length signals are, such as those broadcast by radar guns (measuring speed, and radar jammers)...radar jammers can be legal to a certain level (i.e. like the iRiver you connect to your iPod - minimal strength radio broadcast). however, an unregulated strength like this is useless, since it's effect on radar is pretty much nothing. to effectively jam police radar, you'd be picked up on military or airport radar, and it'd be easy to track you. |
