Hey guys.
On September 16th, I've organized a drift competition and practice with the StreetWheelers Car Club. I am going to try to let the drivers have as much seat time as physically possible (because i think that's what it's all about), and then once practice is over, we will proceed to run a drift competition (if we have time after the competition I will go back to practicing). The competition will be ran in Tandem Format (that is, one car VS. another car) but not actual running side by side (I wish I had insurance for that). Once one car is done, the next will go immediately, and judges will decide which of those runs was "better". I think this will be an exciting format. I for one am excited to see how it turns out, and there will be prizes for the winners. :thumbup:
Anyway, I know Edmonton is a long ways away (and I do know there are a few of you planning to make the trip) but I'll put it this way, if this event goes well, there will be more to come, and without AngleFactory around anymore, I think that can only be a good thing.
Thanks to Louren Sansregret for doing the poster (and you too Braden, Louren offered to do one too, and his ended up being pretty good, i still love you).
I'd also like to thank IMPORT CONCERN for their sponsorship of this event, as well as MAK CUSTOMS out of Lethbridge.

I'm pretty sure Tyler and Greg would want to drive, Chris F. wanted to also and I bet a bunch of Calgary Corollas will be showing up. It's on the same day as SCC but I'm leaning towards this event. |

Yeah, as planned now myself, Kenji, Chris (Ceffy) and I believe Austin are going, or at least very interested.
I talked to Tyler today and he didnt turn the idea down, and if he goes I know Greg will for sure as well. His Silvia should be done by then, too. |

Well the guy that posted right there, nitr0, is Austin. I just misunderstood him based on the fact he cant type worth a shit on MSN.
That was the old case, but now Andrew is involved in the SCC drifting, so its a 'demo'.
Not sure how it works, but I know sure as hell I wont be invited, so Lethbridge here I come. :cool: |

| That was an impressive event, especially for Lethbridge. I've never attended a competition with so many drivers. I wonder had SCC Edmonton not scheduled the same weekend there may have been a greater Edmonton turnout, the Calgary drivers needed a challenge, they took the top 4 spots. |

Yeah, in all, we had 27 drivers practicing. It went awesome, even with the bad weather it was a good turnout and the finals were very exciting.
Congrats to the winners (all of you made the tandem format very exciting) -

8th - Drader
Thanks again to IMPORT CONCERN and MAK CUSTOMS for their support. This event turned out so good i am definatley going to do my best to expand and do at least one more next season. It just goes to show that even with DSport putting on lots of events, this scene is growing and at the moment, the drivers have more demand than we have events, that can only mean one thing, we need more events!! |

The Lethbridge event was on Saturday, so SCC was cancelled as the drift event began. |
