It's going to be $650 CDN. Also, don't forget how much Bluray players cost right now. I would have already bought a BR or HD-DVD player if they still didn't cost more than the Ps3 is going to. |

The Samsung Bluray player right now you are looking at around $1300. I guess it's a win/lose situation. Win for us if you go out and get a PS3 because you get that Bluray feature for half the price (it also plays games :bowdown: ) . Lose for Sony because apparently they'll be losing money on each unit they sell. |

| Yeah, but I don't think any console maker in the last generation or two has made any profit at all in unit sales. It's all about licencing. Sony and MS might lose X dollars when someone buys a system, but end up ahead when 5 million copies of PGR/Gran Turismo/Final Fantasy are sold for the system. |

You can get a HD-DVD A1 player for $500 US imported, and as of now it has better image quality across the board tha the BR players, though that's more a software issue than anything.
Base model PS3 is only $550 btw. |
