There is also a JVC KDLH-910 head unit installed - this is a CD MP3 player that takes SD cards. I don't want to part with the deck, but for an extra $200 I will throw it in including a 2gig SD card. Otherwise a factory head unit will be reinstalled in its place.
I have spent more money in parts and repairs then the car is worth. It runs exceptionally well for its age. There is NO rust.
The bad:
1) Windshield is cracked. Will need replacement but is not cracked in the line of sight of the driver. Approximately $200 at any local glass shop.
2) A/C Condenser has a leak. About $170 for replacement, $50 for new dryer(recommended with condenser replacement) and a R134a recharge at any local shop - costs vary. Prices here are for parts only assuming you DIY.
3) Intake gaskets on Intrepid's need replacement at about 200000km, easy replacement but never got around to it. I believe they are about $20 for the two of them. Without them, there is a slight rough idle because of the vacuum leak created by the gaskets not being sealed properly anymore.
4) There is an occasional light clunk from the front - I've had it checked over by more mechanics then I can remember - my neighbour who is a military HD mechanic, my other neighbour who is a dealership mechanic, various repair shops, and myself mulitple times - nothing is loose and the only probable cause we all came up with is that the struts may be causing the noise. I've daily driven the car everyday, including some long highway trips and never had any issue.
5) The paint could use a really good polish. There are some door dings and the passenger side has very mild damage from the previous owner who side swiped the fender.
I'm being very honest with what I know is wrong with the car, and really its not much. I've already taken the time to price everything out and had plans to fix any remaining issues but I need a bigger vehicle(SUV) for my new job and I just don't have any extra time to finish it. I've spent ALOT of money, time, and research on this car.
I'm asking $5500 obo. Call myself, Nathan @ 490-9008 or PM me here. Thanks for your interest!
