I recently bought two projectors a hitachi CP-RS55 computer projector and a Hitachi EDPJ32 home theater projector. On the CP-RS55 I was not charged any enviro fees but on the EDPJ32 I was charged a $45.00 fee for a 46” and larger television. I reviewed the list on the government of Alberta website and it doesn't mention projectors. I bought the two projectors both from Future shop within the same week and they are pretty much the same unit just used for different applications. I was wondering if there is an enviro fee on these or If I was wrongfully charged.
Thanks |

| as far as I know there is an enviro fee on projectors though they mischarged you as it is obviously not a 46 in or bigger tv. the computer ones should be classed in with lcd monitors which have a flat rate no matter what the size I believe it is like 16 dollars crts have verying rates based on size |

Looking at all the stuuf(I'm a reseller) it's $12 for computer monitors LCD/CRT don't matter on the size.
Ok, look here:

So if it can be attached to a TV tuner they nail you the TV rates. But there's no way it contains the same about of components as a 46 TV, they should hit ya with the $15 fee for 18" or smaller.
I would call them and ask wtf.

| It ended up being a glitch in their system. There is no enviro fee on projectors so Future Shop gave me the refund. :) |
