Just the other day I was driving down the road and I was in the left lane, and some guy in the right lane cut me off without signaling, but he was so close that I was forced to slam on my brakes, but not only did he cut me off, he took a sharp left turn and my headlight hit his tailgate...which was down at the time. I'm just wondering if anyone knows who was at fault...me? or the guy that cut me off without signaling or looking in his mirrors to check if anyone was in the lane he was turning into, because techinally I hit HIM, but it never would have happened had he done what he was supposed to do.

you had the right-of-way, it would be unfair to you for dammage caused by his ignorance, but only if you managed to actually talk to him after or get his plate. a judge might have to make that call...
