anyone know any campsites close to town that rent to groups of friends. everyone im phoning is saying families only lol.
trying to set up my birthday. bush party is also an option but finding a place to have it is a bitch. any ideas? |

I used to work at a campground. The reason they tell you, "Families only", is because most campgrounds want a nice family atmosphere. Teenagers and young people make noise, are annoying, stay up late, don't clean up after themselves, and disturb everyone else (not saying you, just a generalization).
Now that isn't exactly the kind of people you want to bring to your campground, because not only are they annoying to deal with, they also upset other campers.
When I was working at the campground, on busy weekends we would usually be pretty packed, but there are always a few spaces open. Now if I am approached by teenagers/young people who I think look like they are gonna get pissed and stir shit, I just tell them we're full. Same with on the phone, although that's harder to tell. But if it's a family I usually find a spot for them.
Now, ways to get around this. Just lie. Call in, try to sound responsible, tell them it's for your family and friends and book a spot. Once you show up there and have a reservation, I doubt they'll turn you down. Please for the sake of the workers clean up your shit though, I hate cleaning up after pigs (used to anyway). I have so many stories from working there...another thread another time though.
