Possible new vehicle for me - Click HERE for Original Thread

Cobra_R
Well I will finally be driving on sept 14th and my dad promised to go halfs on my first vehicle well he ran into a old guy who is selling his truck and my dad struck a deal with him.

anyway the details are
1996 F-250 with a 7.3 turbo diesel.

now after some research found this info out and this is where I got cloudy

Engines:

1992-1996 - 7.3 L IDI Diesel V8, 185 hp/360 ft.lbf
1992-1996 - 7.3 L Turbo IDI Diesel V8, 190 hp/395 ft.lbf
1995-1996 - 7.3 L Power Stroke turbo-Diesel V8, 210 hp/425 ft.lbf

those are the engines available in the F-series ninth generation

now obviously its not the top option if its turbo

but who knows if its the powerstroke or not.

what ever the body and chassis are mint only summer driven mostly highway miles engine and tranny rebuilt 100k ago

only 5000 dollars :)

but i would really like to know what engine its got.

:D :D :D

WHOA.... a Diesel.. that's been rebuilt this early on in it's life? what happened?

I'm not a fan of Ford, but thats just me, if you like it and it's in good shape, and looks like it should last as long as a diesel should... why not... That is a little cheap still... a comparible dodge would be $10,000ish...

My 96 Chev Diesel only cost me $1000, it's all in who you know:D New factory engine, guy tried to drive to Fort Mac in the middle of summer with the winter front closed.

nismokutz
