I heard theres nothing to do in Regina. There arent any buildings tall enough to jump off of and kill yourself either. You just get hurt and stay longer.

werd...people fly into/out of fort mac regularly, and saskatoon isn't really that much farther than edmonton in terms of flying time...

i agree, regina and saskatoon are places to be.

S'toon housing is only a tad better than here, Regina is dirt friggin' cheap though!
and with free health care, how could you go wrong? :dunno:

It is more expensive in Toon town because some people actually want to live there, as opposed to Regina...but if you think the health care is free, take a look at the PST and provincial income tax again. Most provinces don't charge health care premiums but you pay a couple of grand more in income tax. Here we charge premiums for health care, which some employers cover, but pay low income tax and no sales tax. The cheap government insurance is a good carrot for younger drivers, though.

When I lived in Saskatchewan for a few years and people found out I was from Alberta, they were dumbfounded. They would always ask; "Why? Nobody moves from Alberta to Saskatchewan!"

I did enjoy some things about Saskatchewan. The people are pretty easygoing and friendly in general, and if you can live in a smaller center and love particpating in sports like hockey, baseball/softball, curling, fishing/etc., you will fit in OK.
