a guy from work has a GTX sunfire but i believe that it is not much different from the regular 2 door sunfires, as in it is not a gt. but it comes with a big GTX decal on the side so that means its faster...

I think it was a slightly longer side-skirting package to make the car look lower than it really was, and some spiffy decals to make people notice that it was different, kinda like the GTX was. In fact, if your car is a 4-door, then perhaps the SLX means that it is a sedan, instead.

As far as I know GM only ever made the se and the GT models anything else is a dealer package. I have seen SS, GTX, SLX and so on and there is really nothing different then the se base model.
