Shipping a car with no engine from Leftbridge to edmonton - Click HERE for Original Thread

Austindsm
I am thinking of picking up a 240sx from leftbridge and getting it shipped to edmonton. But i am not sure who would do it and roughly what it would cost?

If someone could help me out i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance

You need to use a transport company like Canadian Freightways or Byers Transport. I conincidentally just had a front clip (front half of a car) shipped from Lethbridge to Edmonton and the cost was about $440. I suspect you will have to pay a little more than that (~$600). On top of that I was responsible for shipping the the front clip from their warehouse because they wouldn't deliver to to a residence. This cost me an addiational $200, but it was so expensive because it didn't have any wheels. Call one of the companies for a quote. Another way to do it is to go down there with a trailer and bring it up yourself. This will cut your costs down significantly (Under $200) assuming you get the trailer for free. If it's a good deal it's worth it.

Cheers,

Tim

I had my car flat bedded using a towing company from Fort McMurray which is 420km away. It cost me around $900.

Ouch Rad. You got owned. Towing companies are much more expensive than large freight shipping companies.

I didn't care. It was paid for by oil money (working for Suncor so all it was is one day of overtime).

Driving force in Edmonton has Flatbeds (or they used to a couple years ago) that you can rent. Or another alternative is rent a car dolly from U-Haul. Both of these solutions will be WAY cheaper than anything else you are looking at.

Where the hell is Leftbridge?
