So my buddy wanted to buy a sports car under 30K. There is a seller here that was supposed to be real desperate to sell his car so my buddy set up a time and place to check the car out. Guy doesn't show, doesn't answer his phone, just vanishes.
Then my buddy, who is also selling his current car, meets with another forum member so that they can check his car out. After a test drive, they agree on a price, and schedule a date and time to tranfer the funds and car. My buddy goes to the place, and the guy never shows up, doesn't answer his cell, just disappears.
What shit.
Reminds me of when i was selling a condo on Comfree and people would say, "is it for sale? please don't sell it, let me come see it ASAP, I want to buy it", and then they don't even show up to the viewing.
I don't care if people change their mind, can't get funding, or whatever, but for the love of god... have the decency to call a nigga so he doesn't have to waste his precious time on you.

| Ya, I totally agree. If something comes up and you have to back out at the last minute, it's bad, but understandable. Just vanishing and not even bothering calling to explain yourself is just rude.:dunno: |

I hate that as well, I can't stand people who can't follow up.
It's almost like they don't give a shit, when they think they can aford your item, they go all out bug the fuck out of you and then when it's time to close the deal, they ignore you probably because reality has just kicked them in the balloon knot.

You wouldn't believe how much time I've had wasted selling my Buick. I've had about 20-30 people say that they are buying the car and they're grabbing money, to please not sell it until they get back with a deposit and so on and so forth.
The most recent was a guy who saw it when I was filling up gas, he took my card and then called me a week later saying to take the For Sale sign out of the window, that he was taking the car on Sept. 15th. I told him that the sign stays in the window until I have a $1,000 deposit in my hand.
I'm hopeful that this guy will actually come through because he did really like the car, but so did many others that looked at it. Probably half of the people showing real interest were younger guys that just started working and didn't have the purchase price saved up yet, so they try to get a loan. It's hard enough to get a loan for a 2-year-old car, nevermind one that's 50 years old.
Oh well, sorry about the rant. I just wish these people would call back and say "sorry, couldn't get the loan." Out of all of the people that have said they were going to take the car, not one person has called back to say they changed their mind. Not a single one. Even a couple of people that were friends of friends, just leave ya hangin'.
From this and all of my other experiences in life I have surmised that people suck. |

| I've learned that if people want it bad enough you shouldnt have to go out of your way at all, get them to come to you and tell them you need non refundable cash deposit if they want it. And get them to call you 30 mins in advance to view anything, tell them if they don;t call you are not going to show them anything (property, cars). |

| A guy wasted two of my evenings in a row looking at the Soarer I have for sale. The first night he brought bills, which I wouldnt take. Second night comes to tell me the bank is holding the cash he deposited but he would come on Friday with a deposit. He never showed up, just disappeared. I fucking hate people. |
