What kind of domestic do you drive?

I've got a 88' Mustang with NOS....and I am buildig a 347stroker..to be used with a vortech A-trim charger pushing 10lbs of boost with a custom front mounted intecooler...and just a little NOS for fun (I don't use it much....it's fun but not that fun)...I regularly compete in CACC solo 2....I'm taking the car off the road for the winter next week to do my motor, suspension and put in my roll-cage so I can do Hill climbs and Solo 1 next year.....most of the modification so far have been Suspension and braking.....it's been converted from 4 bolt to 5 bolt wheels...with Cobra brakes front and Cobra discs rear.....it rolls on 2000 Mustang GT wheels with Yokohama Advan 0-32R tires...suspension consists of Kenny Brown custom rate race springs and Koni yellows a bunch of urethane bushings and tubular controll arms....the springs are soon to be replaced with a Griggs coil-over setup...and a complete custom interior including parts from Recaro, Autometer,Saleen, _and Real HID lighting
BTW I turn my own wrenches...in case someone wanted to know:)

(Edited by Swifty at 4:42 pm on Sep. 25, 2001)

Swifty, where do you race Solo2? are you from Calgary?

Swifty

Hey Swifty, how do you like your A032's?

smooth
When you say front mount, I assume you are talking Air/Air?
I was under the impression that Air/Air Intercoolers are not very efficient with Superchargers. Having to do with too much restriction. But I guess with a good design you won't see too much boost drop. Are you concerned about throtle response at all?

Swifty
The Advan 032R is a great tire if you are rich...I found this out the hard way....and trust me I ain't rich....they have a treadware or 60 so they are really soft...I had to buy 2 sets this year..I thought I could get away with driving with them on the street and racing them too...not gonna happen....but they stick very well...put up with quite a bit of abuse....they are very lould when driving...and you have to hold onto the wheel tightly at all time b/c they really like to follow the grooves in the road...I will go with another set next year to race on....but I will be running a set of Saleen 18's for the street....undecided on what rubber I will be running (suggestions anyone?)...oh BTW the cost on the Advans is quite cheap....but they do not last long....mine lasted about 7000km....but they are fun...eveyone should try one set
