Do you guys warm the Z up in the morning when it's been sitting over night? for how long? When I start the car up first thing in the morning I let it idle for about 1min or 2 (I wait for the RPM to drop to 1000 or so.) After that I drive the car very softly and gentley till the needle for temp reaches in the normal range and if I've been driving for 5min or so then let her rip!
what's your thoughts guys on start up? |

| I never have time to warm it up. I just start it, let it sit for maybe a minute and drive with out going past 3500rpm or 70psi oil pressure until it starts to get hot. |

| I let her idle for about 15-30 seconds at the most. Then I gently drive the car until it reaches operating temperature. No hard acceleration, shift at about 2800 RPM and don't hit boost. |

The main thing Edwin is to remember no hard acceleration or boost until both: a) temperature goes up to normal, b) oil pressure drops down to normal.
So remember... temperature UP, oil pressure DOWN, good to go!
As for specifically idling for a while before you drive, that's generally not necessary. But like Mahesh, for me it'd typically be 15-30 seconds maybe, but in that time I'm doing things like adjusting mirrors and seat if necessary, playing with radio controls, and/or rolling out on the driveway so I can close the garage so that time ends up getting spent anyway before I roll. There's no need to sit there and specifically wait, as long as you don't drive it like you stole it right off the bat. |

I second that. By the time I roll out of the garage, wait for the garage door to close, etc. it's already 30-45 seconds. |
