I heard there is some dancing game that kids always play there. It like has arrows on the screen and you have this big gamepad at your feet and you have to press them in sync. Its some sort of Revolution and very big there. ;)

If I was in Japan I would do everything that you would assume to be stereotypical. Id wander around town in either sumo shorts, a kimono, or a samurai outfit. Id always have a katana at my side. I would bow at every single person I met. I would drift anything that has a motor, and most importantly I would try to act as American as possible.

The bars are they are ridiculisly expensive and no matter how much Jap Porn you've seen, the girls are way too shy :( Some bars do have a good car seen but unless you know where they are and what nights the meets are you not going to see much. So you really need to hook up with a knpwageable local to hit the partys.

Head to the super expensive GINZA area on sundays, they close the street to let people wander the neat stores with products we never get to see. This place makes the expensive shops in Vagas and NY look like a garage sale.

SHINJUKU is the red light district. You get all that wierd Jap fetish stuff there like pee in a bottle and used panties. You don't need to look for it, you just walk and you'll get offers. The 'love hotels' are also here.

SENSO-JI is one of the biggest Shinto temples in the world, if you not going other temples, take a walk around this one.

The IMPERIAL PALACE is an interesting tour. You have to head there early to submit your passport to the garuds.

AKIABARA is the electronics and toys district. Floor to roof, wall to wall. Computers, Transformers, Cameras, Manga you name it, they got it. Just as you get out of the train station you will find M's, a 7 floor 'adults toys store', things get weirder the higher you go.

UENO park is the cherry blossom park, in spring, the trees sprout pink blooms before anything else.

SHINJUKU is the hub of night life and theme bars. PISS ALLEY is also here, a 10 foot wide alley that serves beer and robata (meat on a stick) on one side and piss on the other side.

There is DISNY LAND if your intersted.

Make sure you go to a SETSO, Japan bath: strip down, scrub everywhere and soak in the sulfur spring water. MAKE SURE YOU OBSERVE THE TRADITIONS.

I highly recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass. You have to buy them at the travel agents here. They give you unlimitaed usage of JR trains, buses, and ferries. This pass also alows you to ride the BULLET TRAIN to any city. OSAKA, KYOTO and HIROSHIMA, TOADIJI, MT FUJI and HIMIJI have lots to see and do.

That's about all i can remember right now. Head to a book store and pick up 'The Rough Guild to Japan'. It should be about 40 bucks but its worth it.

Good Luck.

if thye pull you over for drifting say you thought it was legal due to tokyo drift movie:D

Orzel_pl

Considering the Jap cops are known for excesive force and beatings, that might not be that best thing to do. :(

umm.. not too sure about the excesive force, the last two times i've been in Japan the most I saw cops doing was writing parking tickets and controlling traffic around accidents. They are pretty lax as far as i've seen. But I definitly reccomned a Tokyo Metro pass, you can get them at any of the subway stations for however much you want and it save a tonne of time, confusion and money from having to buy tickets for every little trip you make. Theres also a place close to the Tokyo harbour called infoweb, its a toyota showcase and you can test drive any JDM toyota you want(as long as you have an international drivers licence). I personally recomend the MRS. Enjoy, its a blast there

But if your car can do better than 180km/h they won't even bother.

Godzilla
Good old F&F, there is a couple of cop cars in Tokyo that are GT-R's, i think those cops would be dying to have someone fly past them at 180+km/h. The only cop cars there that probably wouldn't have a chance are the Toyota Platz (Echo).

~30oZ~
Try to find the "underground" street racing scene and bring back some home movies  and check out everything car realted you can. Go check out all the shops you can like Top Secret, HKS, Veilside, etc. hehe:D

But one thing I can think of doing if I was you is go for a ride on their Bullet Train.:)

Godzilla
The bullit trains aren't all their cracked up to be, you might be dissapointed. But definitly check out the tuner shops, another one i'd highly recomend is Bee*R Motorsports. They got some sweet stuff happinin.

masterv
Don't bother with your GSM phone in Japan as NTT does not support it. Long D calls are hella EXPENSIVE there, so try to find some cheap phone cards. Also very few public phones can dial internationally for some reason.

Cool  I'm planning to do that trip next fall but I intend on extending it to 30 days for extra 250cnd. I hope to hit the other places I've never been to like Bali, Ho Chi Ming, Taipei, Singapore and Seoul. Might even head to Mumbai (Bombay) and take the train to Goa if I still have time and money :D

There trains are slower than the ones in Europe, they where built in the 70's after all. but I found them cleaner and more comfortable as long as your in a non-smoking car.

arabian_ryda
ok ok right when u get to japan go to the nearest parkade and get into the idling silvia dont look around u and ignore all the cheering people u have to concentrate. now try and not hit any walls and make it to the top of the roof sideways.;)

HEWSINATOR
Buy some bad ass japanese denim. No shit.

jberger - That trip sounds pretty cool. Was it expensive? Just curious what type of price range that trip was? Does it included everything? (Hotel, food, etc?)

the price was about 2 grand for plane tics, airport taxes
i budgetet about one hundred dollars a day for the trip for food and hotels
you have to find your own hotel room though but it will be awesome
