Testing: 300ZX TT vs. Supra TT - Click HERE for Original Thread

Here's a great video I found of testing between the two cars. Both cars are of the same model year. (1995)

Part 1

Part 2

Interesting video. The test results (the numbers) for both cars are very odd... too slow for TTs, yet too fast to be NAs... weird. Must've been a really hot day.

If the Supra was gonna win, I was gonna call you an :asshole: .

If the 300ZX was gonna win, I was gonna say you're alright.

exactly, very odd indeed. A MkIV TT should be running a mid 13, not a low 15..

sure Dave...sure:rolleyes: lol I'm j/k the 300ZX's times are off too...should run in the 13 range too.

Everyone just loves to quote the very bestest times they've ever seen recorded for their respective cars... why, I don't know.

The "typical" times for a MKIV TT Supra were high-13s, not mid-13s. And while the 300ZXTT did record times as low as 13.7s, the mean (of test results) for the Z was actually closer to about ~14.1s. (mean average, meaning some where HIGHER than 14.1, and some lower).

This is all academic anyway... I don't think ANYONE's run a stock MKIV Supra or Z32 in the 13's here at our local drag strip.
