Times for August 26th Autocross - Click HERE for Original Thread

Tracker
Hi All,

Here are the times for our last Autocross,

I apologize for taking so long, but other things got my attention...

Times

As usual, I did a little bit of a cleanup on the times, removing "cheater laps" and other glitches. I know there are still some wrong times (and that is the only way to explain my poor performance  ) but this is the nature of our events: without proper marshalling we can't enforce cones and penalties as on a very competitive event, on the other hand we get lots of runs (seat time) and fun.

I hope everybody enjoyed and see you all on our winter events.

Thanks

Thanks for posting the times Fernando. I can understand taking a while to get the times up, when it looked like you had nearly no help running the event. That was my first RX7 event, is that typical?

Good day, should have done a couple more runs to see if I could give the GT3 a better run for it's money :) I thought I had done six runs? Did you throw out runs where the course was destroyed?

Because of problems with the timing laser, some of the runs were not recorded or may have been inaccurate. Those times were deleted.

now
I would have stayed longer to help out but i was feeling kind of
dizzy so i took off early.
No it was not the food at the bbq I was feeling off after the first run around the
track after helping set it up.
thought it might be a inner ear thing but i started feeling better on the drive home
with the a/c cooling me down.

Hi Jay,

I apologize for the time it took me to get the times out for this event. Usually I have it done by the end of the day, but that day I was really tired and I had no opportunity to dedicate a couple of hours to cleanup times and format them properly after that.

We had a few, very dedicated volunteers on that event. Unfortunately, we need more in order to make things go smoothly and easy the burden on everybody. It will be fixed for the next one... ;)

AFAIK, you did gave the GT3 a run for its money! :) And you are right also about the cleanup: I follow the timestamp on the times and do a little cleanup on the times right before the course is re-setup. As you can see, I look for consistency on times... nobody shaves 4 seconds between runs, right?

When I want serious competition, ASA events are a must: tight courses, car classing, strict marshalling and official runs. Our events are more for practice, test and tune and to have fun around cones.

I appreciated the opportunity to come out and run with you guys. Nice and layed back, and the BBQ didn't hurt either!

Hopefully I'll be out for a couple next year, and by then the car should be running better too!

We hope to see you there. Please spread the word, so that more people can enjoy a good time at an event.
