| is there any reason there is oil comming out of my exhaust ??? i was checking the timming on my car and BAM there is oil leeking out my tail pipe ???!!!??!?! i dont get it. any ideas? and this hasent happend to me before even when i have checked my timming just before last. really worried! |

| i dont think so because this just happend today and i took the blow by gas hose off and its not smoking so that would tell me the rings are ok |

| i was advancing it when i should have been retarding it and yes a whole bunch. i just put a timming light on it and its at like 45 DEG BTDC and i dont know how that can be because i havent taken the distributor off and the ammount it tilts would not let it get that out of hand |

are you sure it's not JUST Moisture/Water With Carbon mixed in a bit?? :dunno:
Are you Positive it's oil???
Reason I say this.. Is because if you were checking you're timing, the motor would have been Running temperature, and have been running.. Thus Creating Moisture.. and Ruleing out the oil.. Because your exhaust manifold/pipes would have been hot enough to burn away the oil and produce smoke.
I see no way for oil to possably drain out through the exhaust, and especially to make it ALL the way to teh Exhaust tip. :blink: |

| it was the YZF 49cc but seeing how you know alot more than i do about cars ... i got a question for you my timming is off about 30 DEG and i know thats not good and my distributor cant tilt anymore than it is do i take the distributor right off and spin the gear a little to compinsate or can i just spin it when i have the cover off?? but im almost sure its spun by the cam so... |
