I finally got to drive the car off the lot last night at 7:00. Which is right as that STUPID CRAZY rain storm was starting, so I didn't have any fun. The traction control light came on the first time I went into 2nd, and pretty much all the way home. I'm not allowed to floor it, pop the clutch, shift quickly, or take it above 4000 rpms (all the way I drive) until 2000 kms. Anyone want to go to red deer for a coffee?

it did come with tint, but those rims are so nasty ... ball shrivelling action.

but otherwise, she's beautiful. I think I picked the best colors out of those available to JCW (black, red, or that blue), best roof color and mirror caps, and I ditched that gay fucking chrome grille that's standard on minis these days. unfortunately, I had no choice in rims. |

I discovered I can easily do a cloverleaf (specifically Henday to Yellowhead West) at 110, and the wheels weren't even beginning to squeal, meaning it could go quite a bit faster. Once the "break-in" period is over, it's time for some serious MINI action!
mini was in small-case before BMW bought them, and it's probably in large-case now because BMW is not bmw. |
