Transmission Engagement Problem - Click HERE for Original Thread

95IntegraRS
Looking for some help diagnosing a problem I've been having lately. When I start the car everything seems fine. Transmission slides through gears nicely. After a few minutes of driving, this is where the trouble begins. The transmission won't engage smoothly under high load (full throttle upshifts) or downshifting (mostly first and second gear). Extremely notchy, sometimes it won't even go into gear.

Now, I believe the problem to be the slave cylinder, because the problem happened almost spontaneously while doing a burnout, the shifts became harder and the transmission began to clunk when downshifting into first and second.

Other things that I have considered would be the clutch fork that connects to the throwout bearing being damaged and/or the master clutch cylinder needing replacement. Possibly a quick clutch bleed and readjustment would fix my problem...

Just wanted to know what you guys thought, so throw in your .02 cents and let me know what you think.

Sounds more like it's binding up, Motor may be moving more than it should try using a pry bar top and bottom of the car see if it's shifting around more than it should.
Not sure if there's a cross member or anything holding up the tranny besides the engine mounts but see if the twisting is excesive.
shift linkage rubbers and bit's worn out /loose
Is it hydraulic clutch with vacum boost?
few ideas let us know what you find

My DSM was doing that... turned out to be a clutch issue; the clutch was destroyed and wasn't disengaging from the flywheel all the way... :dunno:

clutch disc rivet broken? does the car creep ahead in the staging lane when it's hot?

Ron@Revolution
The chances a slave cylinder went as your doing a burnout is probably less likely then you winning the lottery.:dunno: I would say if your having problems in every gear then clutch problem only in one gear syncro's.

I still have a good condition stock clutch if you want it.
