H22 with a B16 tranny - Click HERE for Original Thread

Spoon
Hey i was wondering if anybodu knew if a B16 tranny would fit on a H22 Vtec and if so is it easy to put on

newaccorddriver
something similar to this has been done before on an A20 which was mated to a B18 type R tranny. you need an adapted plate, a spacer for the flywheel, and new axles which would most likely have to be custom made.

Yep. Its called "H2B" adapter. Allows a B-Series tranny on an H22.

Spoon
even if i had a H22a engine

lovinthespeed
ya there is an adapter go www.preludepower.com search alot of guys are trying and ya it not working to well the gears are diffrent and shit but it is almost cheaper ot buy the enginge and tranny set than the engine and addaptter i been looking into for a little while now

Curious, why would you try? Is the B16 tranny in any way superior to the h22a?

No. I think it would be a lot easier to put some new gears in.
