orange to blue gauge lights - Click HERE for Original Thread

Battle*Axe
Ok so i am just posting this with the hope that MAYBE sombody in here will know a good clean way to do this.

i have a 96 neon, as most of us know, the guage lights are orange.
which dont match so well with all my autometer cobalt guages

i know some cars you can just take the guage face off and switch colored bulbs to your desired color... but in neons the bulbs are white... and there is like a see through orange plastic they shine through to make them orange.

i was wondering if anybody had any idea how i could change them to blue without wrecking them... and not a stupid way.

i had a couple ideas... lemme know what you think.

1: try and take the orange film right off (which i'm not sure is possible) and replace the clear bulbs with blue.

2: take the orange film off and try and find a blue film to raplce it... again... if possible.

Ayeso
depends is it a glued on film? I know in 92-95 civics they have blue condoms and u can just take em off... im doing my cluster with white led's soon... u could do same idea with blue leds
