Ron@Revolution

Tech2
At this rate pr progress wheels will be a winter project :(

Xx D-MAN xX
Fall/Winter Projects are:

- Mount new rims on new tires
- Install new CF hood
- Clean engine bay
- Install speedware harness bar
- Install shift boot
- Clean interior
- Out of province vehicle inspection
- Prepare car for winter storage...

Gather new parts over the winter months to install in the spring... Things I'm looking to aquire are takata racing harnesses, mugen steering wheel, and other misc. jdm parts...

You missed two steps based on your list:
- paint CF hood (to match body color)
- install rollcage (using a harness without a rollcage is a BAD idea)

flatboy
I think I'd really like to leave my truck alone and see what it feels like to just get into it and drive it in the spring.

The austin mini has to get finished or my wife is goina kill me. It's going back N/A and scraping the whole turbo thing. Got new header, weber 45 with velosity stacks, msd ignition, and got to be totally rewired.

Pull the water pump on my bike (1972 suzuki GT'750 2-stroke) and fix it or try and buy a used one.

Paint atleast 2 walls in my garage and checker plate 2 pony walls. Hang plasma cutter from the ceiling, and move a couple shelves to the basement.

Paint mainfloor bathroom, and finish framing out side walls in basement, finish insulating, electrical, and vapor barrier.

Learn piano from my 5 year old boy, and work 2-3 jobs.

Thats most of the winter for me.

ChromeDragon
My plan is for my car to hopefully not explode ... again.

McFly
my plan is to sell the gtr so i can bring the project car up and have room for it.

and the extra cash i would like to do it.:)

RS13
GT2871R or GT3071R or simmilar. Plus all the supporting mods. Should be 380 conservative HP

Maybe fix my spoiler holes. But that is last on the list.

Install rear sway bar
Install new rear brakes
Hook up turbo timer
Repaint wheels
Fix body damage from collision
Get rear hatch and bumper painted professionaly
Weld on BOV to replace leaky bypass valve

Install short shifter

I'm sure there are more things I have to do...

I won't be painting my CF hood or trunk (already on the car) because I like the CF look and paint just adds weight...

As for the harness bar and takata harness, yes I know that using a harness bar in lue of a true cage is a bad idea. I only plan to use this for show, nothing more...

RWD
trust fmic
mtec 4000k hids
apexi n1 dual exhaust
alarm
new head unit and component speakers with amp

all done after winter

can i ask why you would waste money on painting the cf?

i have like 4 frineds that got cf hoods, and i did aswell, because our orginal hoods had dents and scratches that were gonna cost more to fix and repaint than to buy a cf hood

WeDgE
- possibly move to a smaller turbo (GT35R or GT40R)
- AEM EMS?
- Upgrade brakes!!

So my car wouldn't look like shit after installing it. Sorry, some may disagree, but IMO the raw carbon fiber look on exterior body panels looks like ass. If I was to get a CF body panel (hood or other), it'd be primarily for weight savings, NOT an appearance mod. Then I'd paint it so it at least matched the car.

Transporter
i agree with you paint matching cf is much better than habeing parts of diffrent color on your car.

and on top why attrat more attention by showing off CF parts.

Transporter
as for work over winter

finish CF eyelids IS
finish CF rad panel FC
find elec. gremlins (always in progress)
replace TB with new one or rebuilt one

install diffuser
install door sills
fix (rock chips) and 3M front bumper
3m side of car till budget runs out
fix horn

finsih install of oil catch can
finsih bracket (SS) for HID
install HID
make CF HID bezel cover

research more into other wierd gremlins

assuming you are keeping it in the family you have a gt42?
or just going smaller exhaust housing?

Cobra_R
Get my truck hope fully around 1993-96 f-150

make repairs and adjustments from previous owners (Hoses lines etc)

exhaust and intake.

install new speakers

new tires wires and distributor.

completely re do the fuel system

its really broad but stuff i wanna get done goes in that order.

I agree with a Skyline or older model integra i thonk personaly
a CF hood unpainted looks beautiful. but on a very cury sexy car like the skyline most body mods that arent painted to correct color or even fitted properly makes the car on the whole look like shit.

It really depends on ones own tastes and the car.

Wookey
We'll see in a couple days as to what i am going to do;)

K20A-R_EG
put my front camber kit in

possibly get some IPS K2 cams and valvetrain

DTR race header

and other odds and ends

this may not all happen tho but it is my goal

LeadSled
Chargerguy, I saw your beast at the track last Friday, did you ever get to make any passes in it this year and how did you do? Are you bringing it out this Friday?

I plan on getting some more work done on project Pro-Touring Duster, got to get the body work done and start working on the suspension and cage/subframe connectors. Also need to decide on a direction for powertrain, I think I'll be doing a stroker Hemi based on the 6.1L from the SRT-8s.

Supra_devil
hopefully do something with my project supra. although i may be too busy putting my new project supra together with most of my old parts.
specs on the new one will be:
stripped
front and rear bars
springs/shocks
some stitch welding
built 5m (built to handle boost so i can crank it this time)
Megasquirt for fuel duties
my 16" wheels

and it will be my summer car till my other supra is done (expecting it to be a 3 year project)

i want to make some pars for some other people and some other cars though as well, for fun.

I may sell my motorbike to do an actual respray of my Beetle!

eLē
huge winter ahead.. gonna start the carlos sainz conversion early next month.. got all the part numbers ready to order this week.. got my 3sgte sitting in my garage on the engine stand just awaiting its rebuild.. gonna do suspension, brakes, fuel system.. pretty much doing up the whole car over one winter.. lol.. hopefully have everything ready to hit the track next year.. or atleast a few stages done.. never know what could go wrong between now and then..

TrevorK
I feel unproductive just reading this thread.

My winter will consist of accumlating parts that will never go on the car for a couple years (Nothing better to do with my free time than to buy parts I "plan" on putting on) and getting my house within months of being mortgage free.

Import a Eunos...

BEGi turbocharger
FlyinMiata Radiator/Oil Cooler Combo
Electric Fans
Wheels
Brakes

And maybe try to import some JDM goodness in the field of aero parts. :fingersx:

Dan_s_young
I have so much to do you guys wouldn't even believe. Wire up a Microtech LT10s standalone, TII conversion (got to completely build the engine), TII tranny into my FB, custom driveshaft, ford 8.8" differential and mounts from grannysspeedshop.com. Autometer cobalt gauges, get a custom exhaust made, intercooler piping, mount the intercooler, figure out rear brakes, roll cage, rear rims... Need to get the rear quater windows refitted, hook up the new fuel system (good for over 800 hp). Hook up the innovate motorsports LM-1, greddy profec B spec-II, water injection, and laptop for datalogging...

Like I said, I have a couple things to do... The hardest part, making it all come together and work properly...

We will see how much actually gets done this winter.

300zxgal
JWT intake
Down piping
gut the cats
JWT ECU
Interfooler of doom

newaccorddriver
slap my accord back together which includes

reassembling the engine
putting it back into the car
replace the rear leaky brake cylinder
brake fluid flush
making a gauge pod for it(or remold my current one)
installing all those gauges
find the eletrical drain

and best of all, take pictures and show it off to the person who hates my car the most and wants to see it burn in hell, my dad:thumbup:

on my BMW, probably replace the brake pads, oil change, replace the hood, bumper and probably replace the passenger side HID(its been flickering)

jeenyus73
over the winter i plan on fiberlglassing 2 new sub boxes and an amp rack, getting rid of all my rattles, repairing my front bumber (fiberglass), getting hold of 2 phoenix gold amps, and anything else that my come up all for my prelude

if any one is selling a
phoenix gold octane-r 8.0:4
