Upgrading to KYB or toikco struts - Click HERE for Original Thread

My four struts on my car are starting to wear out. I have eibach lowering springs on the car and awanted to purchase adjustable struts to replace the old ones. I ws jsut wondering if they adjust the softness/hardness of the strut or the acutal ride height. the eibach springs give the greatest drop to the car then any other manufacturer when i checked, and there is still like 1/2 or less wheel gap and i would like there to be nearly none. jsut wanted to know if anyone has purchased these struts, also suggestions on what other options i have. i dont want to go to air bags either. :dunno:

I haven't heard anything bad about either of the companies. You can't go wrong with either choice in terms of quality.

If you have a couple of $$$ to spend I'd look into the Koni FSD. They have adjustable dampening.

shocks don't adjust ride hieght, they adjust softness/hardness of the ride (basiclly). I have kyb agx's on my miata and I love them, the range is awesome, nice and soft to rock hard.

Technically, unless they make a version of the strut for your car specifically for lowering. You should take the struts to a machine shop and have them ajusted for the change in ride hight on your car. But I would have to say that less then 1% of people actually do this.

thnaks guys. i dont need anything really good, just thought that adjustable struts meant you could tweak the ride height. what else could i do to lower the car tho?

ur thinking of coilover suspension, adjustable coilovers to be precise. The you can raise lower rur car as muchas u want. But every time u adjust it you technically should have your alignment checked.

those are like springs with shocks in one arent they? i doubt i will find anyone who makes them for my car. But who makes those? like does kyb or koni make those for cars?
