hey everyone i need to buy a front lip for my MR2 and i wanted to know if anyone knows of a place in edmonton that sells any for a good price( i would like it to look cool )
also forgot to ask earlyer, but does anyone know of a place in edmonton where i can get a plain black paint job for cheap. |

| all i need is the paintjob to last a at least a year, so i can save up for a good one, cause it needs to be painted. will maaco last at least a year or till summer? |

| itll for sure last a year... but after that i dont know... i dont have experience with them. I just heard they dont last after awhile (for sure after 1 year) and they were really cheap.... i think as low as 500 bucks?? |

Edit: also is FX designs in edmonton any good, thats where im getting my front lip. and is there anywhere less exspensive |

| I'd be very cautious about Maaco. Try R&S on Gateway first. They'll negotiate and you'll get a better product. Talk with Val. Used Maaco south side and it took 3 tries to do a crappy job. Ended up getting a refund at 1/2 the cost. |

| First off, I do not work for R&S - they do good work (I know as they have repaired a few vehicles for me). That said, (just incase anyone was wondering) here is the info you requested: R&S Collision Centre, 7215 - Gateway Blvd., Edmonton 433-1421 e-mail bodyshop@suntoyota.ca R&S is a certified Toyota repair shop. If I remeber, Val is the front shop manager. He's an older European gentleman and is quite easy to get along with. No BS and you're fine - remember "old school". In the dealings I had with them, cash gets a better deal than credit cards or financing repairs. Hope this helps. |

ROFL HAHAHAHHAHA OMG NEVER EVER EVER SAY YOU WILL GET A DEAL THERE!!!! i worked at sun toyota its owned by the same guy who owns sun toyota. Val was telling me how they make well over 500 percent profit off paint jobs ahahahaha and trust me i have heard sooo many times how they have fucked up and not told anybody. You are insane my friend. It is my personal mission to make that place go under. Never in my life have i ever seen so many customers been treated like shit. I have sooooooo many stories from both places since i worked at both technically. If you go there all i have to say is GOOD LUCK there is the odd time someone walks away happy. you my friend must have lucked out! |

| Ohh god i didnt eeven read the second post. You both got lucky. Im not even kidding that place will fuck you over if you get into any kind of dispute. I admit val is an ok guy but the owner and the managers at sun may seem friendly but they will fuck you over the second something come ups if your not back at the dealership/body shop in 24 hours |

| Hey Fartcannon - I honestly appreciate your reply. Maybe I lucked out on my body work and I'm glad I did. I recommended them 'cause I'd go back as they treated me very well and did good work. Thanks for warning to a possibly new customer. We HAVE to stick together to let EVERYONE know who is good and who is not! It's a social justice thing. I'm relating my experience as you are too. Good call! I don't want to see Texmex get screwed over by ANYONE. Man, if we don't stick together, no one else will look out for us. Keep the wheels down and thanks for speaking you mind. |

| Same here, i dont want to see texmex get screwed over either. I really am sick of seeing that place make so much money. All the employees quit when i did, we got paid 8 dollars and eventually 9 dollars to do all the bitch work, detailing, lot attending and coffee runs for those assholes. Me and several others stood by and watched others get fucked over and it pissed us all off. We normally gave away free products like paint protection and stuff to them so they would be a bit happier but there is not much we can do. That place is horrible i cant believe i stayed as long as i did. so many other dealerships pay 13-14 for what we did. Thank god im back in school and out of that fucking hell hole. worst year off of my life |
