Does anybody know are great place to get a timing belt changed on a 4th gen h22a1. plus if i supply the belt, water pump, and any other additional parts needed how much will it cost in labour. really labour is all i will have to pay for. i need somewhere that is reliable and does great work for preludes. Just curious if someone does know a great place can you get a discount if you join the club?

In all honesty, If you cant do a timing belt yourself, go to honda.

ok thanks, i dont own many tools and im only going into my second year of owning and being interested in cars. Don't hate if thats what it was, i would prefer to do it myself if i knew how and had the tools. it is just honda wants 700 for a timing belt to be replaced kind of pricy

Im not hatin. Im just saying go to honda, I know most shops can do it, its just taking a chance. I know one of the only places i'll take my car is honda for things like a timing belt. Im not sure where else to reccomend you too, and dont worry, in time you'll be able to do it all yourself, if your interested in that

I got my timing belt replaced in my Lude at AutoTech for about $500 a couple of years ago.

They specialize in Honda and Toyota's and only use OEM or better parts. I've been going there for a few years now and I've never had anything to complain about. They might not have the cheapest prices, but, they're more reasonanble than Honda.

Call for an apointment at 448-2228 becaues they book at least a week in advance.

Good luck

thanks mike3 for not hating i couldnt tell, ive been told if you cant do it yourself go to honda for timing belts because if there is one thing to not fuck up on your car it is the timing belt. if i do end up going to honda i will buy all the parts myself and try to save a little money that way.

As for autotech, if i bought all the parts required for the timing belt change how much do you think they would charge? about 300?

i second auto tech..if not there then right to honda.

yea Wilsons Auto Tech (I presume what you guys are callin Auto Tech)

Quoted me 4XX for a timing belt change on my h23 prelude.

I got a timing belt changed there for my mr2, and with a new water pump, belt, seals, and other shit it was 900 bucks.

If you supply all the parts they will do the everything for the price of the timing belt labour.

The waterpump labour is free.

Just give the guys a call and ask for a quote with and with out parts. They maybe able to get the parts at a similare price so theres no need for you getting them yourself, unless you already have them or have some connections, in which case the rest of the guys whould really be interested. :D
