Buying a new car improves work performance?! - Click HERE for Original Thread

3gEdmonton
Just bored, so thought about posting my scenario. As you all know I bought a new car since buying I can't get enough driving it. I make to slightest excuse to drive it purposely finish food in the fridge to go "grocery shopping: or to make appointments in the other side of the city.

So the story goes ever since getting my car I've been going to work 30 - 45 min early. Waking up early just so I can avoid traffic and let the car loose along the way (I keep it moderate but sometimes can't help it). I stay a bit later after work as well so there is less traffic going Southside from downtown. In short I get to work early and leaving late my manager thinks I'm taking "initiative" and I'm very well "dedicated" and slated for a raise all of a sudden.

Moral of the story if you want to get a raise buy a car you will enjoy driving on a regular basis

Does anyone else have a similar story?

I love driving my car, but I hate driving to work. I'd rather ride (train, bus or car pool) any day. :(

My dad said he could hear me at 5am everytime i went WOT merging onto yellowhead in the morning, and we live a block in. Ohhh, my pooor senior citizen neighbours.

When I lived out in the boonies, my parents said they could hear me downshifting on the highway with my pail of rice, and that was almost 3km. Then again, you could hear trucks jake braking almost 10 km away.

On Topic: When I started my new job I drove there 8 times, seeing which routes would be the fastest, least lights ect. just for the hell of it. I would also go to the grocery store, and deliberately forget all but one thing each time, so I would have to make several trips.
