Not sure if i should put this in Entertainment section or not but anyway: whats the best HTIB 600$ can buy nowadays? Im too lazy to buy all the damn components separately (plus its pricey).
And it has to be purchaseable at Futureshop cuz I get staff discount :D |

"owns" is a very general term if you are asking who is responsible for sponsors yes it is markis, if you are asking who is the poster in with the most respect I am sure there is alot of people that will debate that they are. If you are questioning who moderates you can look at the moderator colum of the forums.
now back on topic, if you work in FutureShop why not ask the associate that works in home theatre what they recommend?
I bought mine a few years ago, RCA brand, chose this as it limited the need for another remote, the sound is good and the set up is easy, but in the 600 dollar range you are likely to find somethign better. also are you looking for one that has the built in DVD player or just the reciever and speakers |

I've never really listened to one of those "all in one" speaker system speakers...
I just can't imagine them sounding that great. I mean, how does it handle all the "spacious soundstage" from one direction? Not cool.
Althrough there are plenty of packages out there, I'm old school in that if I want sound coming from the rear There'd better be a speaker there.
But you work at FS, talk a walk around, they always seem to have a decent speaker package for sale. |

| I believe he is looking more for a 5.1 set up that comes in one box without the work of selecting each component, you get the rear speakers and the center channel and sub so it isn't all coming from one place |

Ah, "5.1 HTIB" not "HTIB" duh...
The Quest "Mystique" 7.1 speaker package is a screaming deal at $600 (I believe it's manufactured by Energy or something) great sounding speakers for the price.
They no longer offer it anymore unfortunately. Haven't heard the current Quest HTIB offering from FS. Energy loudspeakers have always sounded great for the price, same with Yamaha.
I think Visions is having a huge sale right now :) |

Half the time they just BS because they want the spiffs attached and the larger the spiff-the more crap they spew. Id rather have more "real people" opinions. I have a Yamaha system i bought and have no complaints. That would be the brand I would suggest. For your pricerange.
