hey i am just wanting to order one from my buddies shop, that way i can get it a bit cheaper, but i would like 300hp at the motor i guess

Godzilla
good to see your going for the go, id just swap a 4G63 in if i was you(money pending)

kanoppesi
well that is what i was thinking, hey can u add me on msn at knopp_666@ hotmail.com, i might do that then put in a turbo on top of that. but what kind of turbos should i consider? i was thinking maybe a t3/t4 hybrid turbo

Don_the_dragon
You should definitley swap in a 4G63 that'd be sweet.:p

Overkill.

Small 16G will do that, no problem.

A 4G63 swap will cost a lot more than turboing the 420a but if money's not an issue that's up to you

Eclipser
Build the 420a, then turbo it. Don't just turbo it, unless you have another set of wheels you don't mind driving, alot. And you choiced for 420a turbo kits include -> hahn, star, or DIY.

Coconut84
i'm not to sure, but i heard some srt4 parts bolt right onto your talon, you may want to check up on that......

kanoppesi
o thanks alot guys, i appreciate it, ya the price for a 4g63 is quite a bit, i still only 17 and i still like to have show with my car, my girl friend would like show and she thinks go parts are pointless but i was a mixture of both

DomesticDrifter
don't waste your time trying to turn a n/a talon into a turbo talon when you're 17 and have limited money... seriously... don't waste your money, find a tsi if you really want boost.

cheap
fast
reliable

pick two of the three above, becasue you can't have them all, espically if your car has over 200k which it probably does because its so old, a rebuild for boost is just stupid imo.

I prefer the most efficient turbo for the job, not the minimum requirement.

True enough.

Hell, you could get 300 crank hp with a 14b if you wanted.

Is it your girlfriends car? She might be suprised, the minute i opened up the GTR on the highway with my girlfiend riding shotgun she fell inlove with it.

kanoppesi
hmm. you do not think it is a good idea? i appreciate all ur opinions. it would be alot of money which i could put into the show category instead than if the motor does ever go i can just go get a new one. thanks alot

Godzilla
to each his own, (not his girlfirends). I've been in the same boat as you young, wanting a car that looks like something off F&F i just offer my opinion of go over show. Horsepower is addictive, it may not be cheap but its worth it. IMO its one thing to have a car that can turn heads, but its another thing to have a car that will snap necks!

kanoppesi
ya that it true, ah fuk its so hard to decide. i do want a turbo and all that, but who knows

Talontsi96
Sell your N/A ESI add some cash and buy a TSI....Thats the easiest and most reliable way...

z-force
i have a motor of the turbo eclipse ( i dont know wut the code name for it is ) with the harness and ecu , come pick it up for a geno, its not 300 hp but its closer than ur motor:dunno:
