Has anyone noticed the new Lincoln Navigator??
What do you guys think of their updates to the thing?
For a machine that is normally considered a pimpmobile for the rappers, I dont know how this tacky (in my opinion) version will make it.
Too chromy and artificially flashy for my liking...
Opinions?

I think it looks fine for the target demographic group they're aiming for. Big front grille, lots of bling, and tonnes of little gadgets make this bohemuth fit in right where it should be. Ford just isn't exactly breaking the mold with anything on this one. It looks like they decided to play it safe again.
The only thing I don't like about it is the interior looks a little too plain. The guage cluster looks almost like they ripped it off an old school ford from the late 70's. I like the old look and they've made it look classy. It seems to follow with fords liking to going back into the past for new ideas instead of comming up with new ones of their own. Again playing it safe. They should have supercharged it so at least it could out perform the competition. |

The outside isn't bad altought it is a big too extreme for my taste. But they really screwed up the dash IMO. The went from really nice gauges to the tacky square things. It looks horrible. Plus it really needs a better motor to compete in its class.
We are getting an 07 to replace an 06 here at work any day now. Hopefully there are some decent improvements to make up for the hidious dash.
I do like the look of the new headlights though. Different and kind of wierd, but still cool. |

I like the new interior, it has kind of a neo-retro thing going on. I agree with GT34, its going to be a hit with the bling crowd for sure.
There's two big oversights though if they wanted to really compete with the Escalade for sales. The new Escalade has optional 22" wheels and a 400hp 6.2L.... The 07 Lincoln only comes with optional 20s and a measly 300hp. One of Ford's worst moves was to cancel their 6.2L Hurricane V8 project. |

I agree that it is ugly. ESPECIALLY the rear end...
but i also agree that it should please the targeted market.
which kind of shows how shallow they can be :dunno:

The horrible thing with it is that it well never see anything other then pavement it's whole life, which is why I hate SUVs like that because nobody on the rigs ever drive them, nor do people take them offroading, it's a gas guzzling version of a minivan. Oh and I agree with the guy above.:mad: |

I stick with the Escalade. This car [the Navigator] looks like it was sloppily put together...the chrome bars look outta place, and it just looks like ass.
Cadillac's redesign looks really nice. |
