Like any other FWD car perhaps? :dunno:

I had an 86 awhile back, it was cold and no matter what would never get comfortable in the cabin. As for driveability, same as any other car.

ya. my old 86 was kind of shitty in the winter lol. heater sucked. handled ok though. reliable old cars.

lovinthespeed
ya my 3rd gen heater sucks you cant get a goodtemp thats y get a blanket lol but great fun great handling and good ebrake lol ahahh good times

do you guys know most honda's have heat, but the flap for the heater core sticks shut, and you have to open it? it's been broken on the last 4 crx/preludes i've owned, and if you open the flap with your hand manually you'll have good heat? :dunno: i drove 2 88 preludes as winter cars and i've never gotten stuck once (knock on wood) - handling on the 4 wheel steering preludes especially kicks ass

i dont see how 4 wheel steering helped you in winter hah.

it makes it 1000X easier to parallel park, especially with those goddamn snow mounds that form in the middle of the road  although it did randomly spin out sometimes while going around corners...

ive owned 2 4ws preludes and i never noticed any difference in winter hah ..they do make it easier to paralell park but in all seasons, doesnt really add a benefit to winter alone.

The H series torque is just too crazy for winter.

I have had 2 SRV's and winter drove both. With a good set of Toyo winter tires they were gold.

haha my the older preludes granted aren't the warmest in the winter right off the bat but fuck they are so much fun...through some winter meats on the front and some slicks on the back and head to the research park for the fun fwd drifting....i just bought another prelude and its a 00 sh with the atts so im interested to see howthat does with a set of blizaks but i would imagine it will be just like anything....as long as you don't have an auto id never worry...

Had an 87 prelude it was brutal in the winter, mostly since it weighed less than a bike. Just bought a 99, bald all seasons on it now. I'm not having much luck looking for used winter tires for it, and I'm only in Edmonton for one more winter, trying to decide whether I should bother with new winter tires for one year or just suffer through it with all seasons. I drive alot, 120K a day 3 days a week and about 60K the rest of the time so it's probably worth it anyways.
