Can I use a distributor from a Civic 1.5L engine on a 1991 1.6L Civic SI Engine? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Im in need of a new distributor...

I have a 91 Civic Si, D16A6 1.6L.
The head on it is from a 93 Del Sol though.

Does the 1.5 or 1.6L really make a difference?
Can i use a distributor from a 1.5L engine?

If i called a wreckers, would i ask for a distributor from a civic, or a del sol, or does it even matter?

Momentum
Anyone?

Ask if they have a distributor for a 1.6 or 1.5 (89 - 91) Civic

So a 1.5 will work fine then.

the distributors for 1.5L (88-91) and 1.6L (88-91) Civics are different, I'd get whatever one goes with the year of your cylinder head. the SI (1.6L) has a few extra wires going to it
