Global news at lunch mentioned that police did a raid at Import Car Recycling at 2521 - 96 Street in Edmonton this morning and recovered a bunch of stolen import cars and it appeared that they were running a chop shop.
There is supposed to be more info on the 6oclock news.
Maybe some of the many honda's that people have been posting stolen will turn up there. :thumbup:
They just showed a quick shot of the place and all I could make out in the second was a civic coupe with aftermarket wheels and some black car with huge chrome wheels. |

Fucking sad. People should have clued in earlier if there were lots of blinged out imports going into the place for "recycling."
Just calling it a recycling place is pretty fucking cocky in my opinion. |

That dog was running around on 34th ave today on my way to timmy's. That dog almost got killed and I was trying to get it's attention to get it out of harms way but I lost track of it.
as for a side note I saw a really nice red FD that works at southview acura today.:thumbup: nice ride. |

Andrew goes to my school, and his GF is in my gym class.
He tried going back to get his car yesterday, the cops said no... they told him to come back today at 6.

| ya one of my buddys works for the shop or appreticept and he said something was fishhy and he was working that night and they arrested him but cops found no choped cars there so they will have to drop all the charges and they do chop cars but none from edmonton they get them out os city mostly but they do more legit work so most the stuff is ok just make sure it has a sin number and you will be fine |

But why would you want to support a business that engages in theft? I don't care how often they do it, they're still making money off of a criminal act.

its vehicle identification number (VIN) not social insurance number.
and swapping VIN's was a serious crime last time I checked. it's shady, illegal, unprofessional and should not be justified at all.
EDIT: and why would they swap VIN's if people brought them cars legitimately? something doesn't add up there... |

doesn't matter how little of what the did was illigal, they don't need shops helping the criminals job making it easier.
any changing or removing VINS is extreemly illegal, I hope the ones running the place get prossicuted and for you who worked there and didn't know but thought somethign was fishy, smarten up. anything modifiying VINS means something illegal is going on weather the cars are stolen or not. |
