Short vid of what I have been up to lately (today actually)
I wire up the lights tommorow, reinstall my temporary piping for the intercooler and fill the Saab 900S rad back up!
I have to wait for an alternator relocation till I can run shorter piping, 130 amp upgrade and 1.5 feet less tubing! makes me happy.!
Hopefully more vids tommorow, I can't wait to get the car dynoed this car has a hell of a lot of get up and go.
Check out my mess too.!! Thats only half of it, its a maelstrom around the entire car, bolts , washers, piping, fans, rads , hoses. If you pause it you can see it all to the left of the car.!

sometimes i wish i had bought an XR4ti when i had the chance. it was in nice shape, the guys other XR4 was running around 300rwhp he said, and he had the long burnout marks in front of his house to prove it, lol.
Oh well, don't do me any good to live on regrets of things i coulda done, lol.
Car looks nice, hopefully i see it at a meet next year when i start going regularly again. |

| I totally reccomend a merkur to anyone that has a good mechanical ability and an open mind, they are easy to mess with, put up with alot of abuse and there is alot more information out there than most people know about. Well worth every dollar and drop of blood I have put into it. if you ever come across another one, scoop it up It turns heads like a skyline and will out accelerate alot of v8 cars out there, nothin like a very prounounced t-3 turbo hissing and a throaty exhaust to make anyone around say WTF:blink: |

upgrade it! ha, its already a big one! 60mm cold side, 48 mm hotside and stays in its efficiency range up to 20 psi.! only upgrade from that , that I may consider is a holset HX35 out of a dodge cummins diesel!
or some guys toss a volvo DOHC head on it and run a huge turbo and get mad horsepower.! I am at a standstill for power now though, People in the merkur forums are betting on how long it takes till I blow up my diff and tranny!
I am planning on dumping a mustang t-5 tranny in it over the winter anyway.

| its my painting area.! I had to clean it today, trust me it sucked. I have free run at the shop on weekends I have access to the welder and the air compressor, if I need to paint stuff, its all there including my own paint booth, I have vid loading to the computer right now of the car sitting out side, You can get a better look at the intercooler and rad in this one, again mind the piping no harassment, its temporary!! |
