Nice!
I suspected this (ownership of another NA Z32, for winter) was what you were up to with that "hint" dropped last week on tt.net.
(And then I happened to talk to Gord around that same time as well.)
Now the answer to the question: the 199,999 odo shot was taken in your old original 2-seater NA. ;) |

nope, the TT is now at 213 000 km, that was the rollover pic.
My old NA had ~ 170 000 K when I sold it. The 'vert has 130 000 mi. Nissans are tough beasts.

2nd!!
I'm envisioning many pics of toque & mitts with top down and frosty breath.
PS - what kind of rims did Tim buy? (referring to the rest of the pics in your tt.net thread) |

That was actually one of the things I noticed in the last couple of years... the number of ragtops driven in the dead of winter: Boxters, Mustangs, 3 series BMW's and of course, Miatas.

Tim bought Axis Reverb with Falken GRBeta 452's 245 18 front 285 18 rear

But of course,
Three options:
1) VG30DETT swap. Expensive. Need to do some mods to fit I/C piping. Have to junk the NA motor.
2) Boost the NA motor. Risky, need a custom tune. Can use existing motor and parts I have and can easily get. Careful on the boost!
3) Crazy RB26DETT swap. Stupid expensive. Lots of custom fabbing. Bragging rights.
Anyway, I have the winter to mull it over.

Regards,
I say supercharger with 6-7 psi boost. Custom tune and call it a day. Make for a fun car. Not sure how much power / torque the auto tranny can take... Might require upgrades to the Auto tranny if you go too far which could be $$$$. Might as well make the DD winter car a fun car to drive and put the rest of the available coin into the TT. |
