quote: ERIE, Pennsylvania - A woman used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon in a domestic dispute, swinging the infant through the air and striking her boyfriend with the child, authorities said.
The boy was in serious but stable condition Monday at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said.
“Never, never, never. I can never remember anything like this,” District Attorney Bradley Foulk told the Erie Times-News.
Chytoria Graham, 27, of Erie, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault. She was held Monday in the Erie County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
The infant, whose name was not released, suffered a fractured skull and some bleeding in the brain, authorities said. His head hit Graham’s boyfriend, the baby’s father, police Lt. Dan Spizarny said.
Authorities removed four other children from Graham’s home and placed them with the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, Foulk said.
I don't know if I should laugh or be disturbed  |

After reading the story, I was definately disturbed. I can't believe a mother would do that...fracturing her baby's skull and causing bleeding in the brain.
That's rediculous, they rightfully took the rest of her children away. |

It's cases like these we should create a law for "almost manslaughter" or "almost murder". She obviously needs to be locked up for a long, long time. There's other way to ensure she'll be kept FAR away from children. |

crazy bitch. She should have her head kicked in.
I agree that people should have to obtain a license to have kids.
Should be a series of IQ tests, physical health tests, genes, family history...etc.
Having babies should be a privelage not a right. |

| We can't stop 16 year olds from getting cigarettes (or 12 year olds from getting weed for that matter), how are we going to stop people from reproducing? |

I'm with Ryan on this one: The ability to have a kid should be subject to a psychological evaluation.
"Sorry ma'am, you show a predisposition to not knowing how to properly raise or treat children. You'd be better off with birds."

So take a page out of the Nazi's book? Nice. I hate seeing kids raised improperly and think uncaring, useless parents will be the downfall of modern civilization..................but I think that restricting people from having children is rather extreme. It's a natural act, and THE act which many define as "the meaning of life". It'd be like removing assholes so people can't fart. |
