can carbon fiber hoods be resurfaced? fixed? clearcoated polished? How do you go about fixing lil scratches scuffs chips ect..

Ya I would definately like to know how to get the nice finish back on a CF as well.

It can be lightly sanded, polished, cleared and painted.


By somebaody that knows what their doing.

wet sanding would also work to get a nice gloss finish.. maybe take it to a pro. and have it Re-Clear coated a few times.. so you can wetsand it.. :dunno:

If you read up on HOW to WetSand.. You may be able to figure out a way..

im thinking of trading my hood with my buddys carbon fiber hood.. its pritty beat up though.. sat out for a few winters aswell...

i wouldnt..keep your hood..you can get new CF hoods for like 500, and even good used ones come up every now and then for cheaper..you will regret not having your hood on in winter or when you go to sell the car.
