This is an official challenge to every "Tuner" shop in this city. We don't care if the majority of your sales are airfreshener's and blue light bulbs.
I know for a fact that every tuner shop either lurks on this board or is actually registered on this board.It's time to bring out your "Shop" car or your "Sponsored" car. We want to show the people of Edmonton and surrounding area what every shop is really made of.
May 18th, Budweiser Motorsports Park. V8less Sport Compact Challenge. Grudge Match Class. $50 buy-in, winner take's home 90% of the pot, with 10% going to charity.
Whining will not be tolerated. :D |

Not really I mean how many other Tunershops have cars? How many are in the process of building cars? This is short notice I think, would have been better if it was proposed at the end of last season. Then again I don't know if other shops have cars already. It is a good idea though if everyone was ready. What car does Pro Drag plan on using? |

I hope the "No Whining" wasen't directed towards me. Obviously I don't have a "Tuner" shop and second it was a question. I asked because I would like to know what other shops have. Simple enough. And I would buy simple parts like Intake and exhaust from which evershop had the lowest price, regardless of what car they have or the times it runs. |

Lack of time is precisely why the Sivik did not go under the knife in the offseason and we are campaigning essentially the same car with no upgrades.
Did your Focus not carry Midas badging at the track? I thought I saw a picture of it somwhere, I could be mistaken however.

so is this just a ¼ mile day? Instead of having a bunch of shops step on a gas pedal and see who doesnt fall asleep by the end of the STRAIGHT LINE... how bout some1 setup and autoX event or a road course event to see if some shop here can build a car that can actually "perform"?
It would be nice to see some quick imports, I just dont want to see the trilogy of F&F before I get to see 2 fast and 2 furious :unsure: -_- |

That is what we are looking for, I was not trying to exclude Mau from it, just trying to clarify the point I was attempting to get across.
First we wanna clean up the scene in Edmonton among "tuner" shops. The Calgary shop's are welcome to come down and see how it's done as well. :bigthumbup: |

Shop cars should have good breaking, acceleration, handling, and excelent fabrication. In my opinion that is what I as a customer would look for anyone can due one of these things good but a real tuning shop can due them all good. Just my two cents> :nono: |

Agreed, Zippy's/Pro Drag is one of the FEW "Tuner" shops in this city that has an actual HOIST to work on all aspects of a customer's car.
Up until recently the local motorsports park only offered a drag racing venue for enthusiasts to display their hard work. Now with Stratotech park open and Bud Park SERIOUS about completing their road course, all of our shops abilities can be showcased on a proffesional level, not in the parking lot of a wharehouse.
We are at the dawn of a very interesting and exciting era of motorsports in northern Alberta. :bigthumbup: |
