RallyCivic
I have heard the same things tons of time, so I looked on the net about a year ago, and sure enough there are set ups out there.

The Fiero chassis is used for many of the exotic kit-cars, isn't it?

mr2_import
very true i seen in done before can't put a 350 in a mr2 though ppl have tried no sucessfully attempts!

RallyCivic
I would like to see someone put a toyota tundra v8 in a mr2 :D

Spike7ss
Fiero's are commanly used for kit car built ups due to the fact they are a mid/rear engine car

v-8 Coversion for fiero to GM smallblock

87 fiero to Lamb Diablo

I know some guys put the L67 (GTP) engine into these cars. Then u have access to all the mods available for the engine and pcm. if you are interested you can search the GP forums:

there is one in Red Deer, 383 with an added boost of nitrous. Pulls the wheels on plain asphault. Scary...keeps breaking axles.

I was just going to mention that one in Red Deer. Monster Machine. He was racing at the Westerner when I was there. It was a 383, with 2 stages of nitrous, automatic, and drag radials. It hooked harder than any car I've ever seen on radials. Cornered like crap, but who cares! It was insane

I think if you're gonna do a lambo kit do it right... buy the chassis and get the molds and do the glass kit and buy all glass from lambo and then set-up a custom interior... it looks lame to see a phat car (even though it's not a true lambo and is like 6" shorter) and you hear it revving and it's a 4 cyl. :gay: They still look nice though

Just about ANY chev motor fits, but 350 sbc is actually a VERY VERY popular conversion.. There are TONNES of guys in the states running these things.. Every GM motor fits in it besides the big blocks (which you'd have to mount longatudly to fit.. and then you have no trunk)

Engines that fit:
Olds Quad4 DOHC HI-PO 190HP, LO-PO 150HP
Camaro/Venture 2.8/3.1/3.4L v6 Pushrod, 140-175HP, 170-220tq
Buick 3800 series 2 SC 250HP, 280tq, nonsc 205HP, 235tq
Lumina/GTP/GA 3.4L DOHC v6, 210HP, 215tq
ANY small block, 305, 327, 350, 383, carbed or Fuel Injected.
Cadillac 4.5L Northstar DOHC v8, 275/300HP
Cadillac 4.9L Pushrod, ~225HP, 275tq
Chevy 5.7L v8 LT1/LS1's also fit..

www.fiero.nl <-- All the fiero information in the world.
www.v8archie.com <-- one of the v8 swap pioneers :) very cool guy.

There is a guy in saskatoon thats won awards for his "Perfect" Lamborghini kit cars.. They are amazing.

I really dig my fiero :D I plan on swapping a 3800SC into my beast.

Edit: The guy with the 383 Fiero should be at the reddeer car show. May 25th some place in red deer.. I forget.. Should be a good show :) more info at www.edmontonfieros.com I believe.
